My friend is a (maybe) for two also. His name is Louis Ochoa... He is now the proud owner of Bill Cooley's "Red Sonya" 89, 560 SEC.

Hi gang,

Well, our get-together is only 6 weeks away now, so lets see some excitement and hear from you all! This is the list I had previously:

James Edwards
Greg Mailloux
Richard Giampietro (maybe)
Ken Mauldin (maybe)
Jonathan Hodgman (maybe)
Brent von Behrens
Chet Hwilka
yours truly

I know there a bunch of "locals" so I don't need to tally them for hotel rooms and such, but still, come on folks, is this it?!!!

I talked to Satish last night and here is the thought on the sequence of events for the weekend of April 15-17th:

Friday April 15th - come to town and meet for dinner somewhere. Satish suggested maybe hotels in the Birmingham area as one could walk places instead of having to drink/drive. Townshend Hotel was one name mentioned.

Saturday April 16th - morning spent doing tech sessions at Motorwerks (Satish's shop). The local MB chapter will be running the tech session. Hunter Engineering will also be there to demonstrate their alignment and tire balancing equipment, paintless dent removel guys will be there, detailing guys will be there, alloy wheel repair guys will be there, and so forth. That should take us through early afternoon. A brunch will be served. After that, Satish has graciously offered his shop up to those of us who want to do some work on our own cars - YES - he will allow us to work in his shop with his tools on our own cars!!! How often do you get that chance? Then later that night we'll meet again for dinner/drinks/fun and that should wrap up the day.

Sunday April 17th - Greg Mailloux who is local to the area offered to arrange a tour of the Detroit Public Library to see the National Automotive History display. Both Greg and Satish told me it has one of the largest collections of car related (not just MB) memorabilia, photos and publications. But we need to know who wants to do this so he can arrange it with the curator. After that we could all split up and go our separate ways.

So....lets hear back folks, so we can finalize the hotel room situation. We haven't done that yet since we don't have definite counts and don't seem to have that many right now commiting from out of town.

So send in your replies and think spring!

YEAH!

Markus (can you tell I'm excited!!!)

p.s. on yes, and to entice you further, there will be a special "event" occuring on Saturday as well that I can't give too many more details about at this time. Okay, so I'm giving you a teaser. But I don't think it will disappoint..!
