[W126 Coupe] AC Compressor, heating

Interesting, my 380 doesn't have a serpentine belt, but I remember the
compressor was on something crucial. Anyways, by jumping the wires I
meant this. On the evaporator there is a little red thing with two wires
coming out. Disconnect those wires from the wires they are wired to.
Now, those other wires (not the ones on the red thing, but the ones that
were attached to the red thing), get a piece of 14 gauge wire and stick
it in the plugs, and electrical tape it to seal it.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] AC Compressor, heating
Richard,
In the 190e with a serpentine belt system, yes I will need to fit a new
belt. As for the 560 SEL, one belt runs the Compressor but is also
guided by the AC idler pulley.
"You do need the aux. fan to switch on with the
defroster, which can be achieved by jumping the wires"
What did you mean by jumping the wires? Were you thinking of how I could
make certain systems work if I did remove the compressor?
Thanks everyone for your help,
James
