[W126 Coupe] 500SEC AMG

The later AMG springs were black without the AMG decal. They looked just
like stock MB but shorter.
European cars had WDB126 VIN numbers while US cars have WDBCA045 VINs. If
it's a US VIN then it pretty much had to be built by AMG of North America to
be a "real" one. There should be an AMG VIN plate under the hood if it's
real. Tough to tell, sometimes. If it's a "500" then it should be a Euro car
and have an importers label in the driver's door opening under the striker
plate.

Well, not easily...
All the AMG suspension parts are marked AMG and have AMG part #. Of course,
you have to get underneath the car to get close enough to have a look.
The engine parts have AMG and part numbers stamped on them too. Of course,
you have to take off the cam covers to access those parts.
Even with all those parts verified as genuine AMG, the car may not have seen
the inside of the AMG work shop as it could have been put together with
aftermarket parts.
Good luck.
