[W126 Coupe] Transmission in reverse help!

Exactly the same thing happened to my '91. The wife happened to be driving it 
one day and she called saying it wouldn't go in reverse. I went to pick her 
up and at that point it wouldn't go in drive either. Rebuild including torque 
converter and new drive shaft dampner ( I think that is what they called it) 
was $2,697. It did include the towing charge. But I was thinking that I should 
have gotten a kiss as well after that screwing.
