[W126 Coupe] Lowered with 18's but there is a rub

How aggressively is the car lowered ?

10" should be fine in the rear provided offset is between 15-25, unless it's 
really lowered.

The problem maybe that you are getting to much travel in the suspension, 
which will be the case if you are running OE shocks with much shorter 
springs.

What tyres are you running ? You don't have to run 275 on a 10 inch wheel - 
you can run with 265/35/18 as well, that might be the easiest solution. 
(265's would have a 1.7% diameter difference, whereas 275's have a 0.7 
difference....both are well within the 3% tolerance level). AMG actually 
reccomended 265 on a 10inch wheel on the r129 to specifically avoid rubbing 
issues with the fenders.
