Hi Jorden:
I'd follow Mike's method as I have done the same on two 126 MB's. Use
caution when fitting the paper under the needles and around their center
pins so as to not force the needle out of it's resting position. This is
especially true of the temperature gauge. Place paper up against the posts
where the needles naturally rest so the painted needle does not stick to the
post. I used a spray can of fluorescent orange and filled the cap with a
small amount and followed with an artists brush to flow the paint onto the
needle. Make sure they are totally dry before re-assembly of the instrument
cluster. I had to pull one apart when a needle became welded to a resting
post. This is also a good time to replace all of the bulbs and I did the
clock capacitors on both 126's as well. (one was dead, and the other after
so many years I just did as preventative maintenance).

instrument panel needles? As is typical, mine are faded. I would love to
know if anyone has had success in refinishing these and if so are there any
pointers or specifications on the color to use and where to source it.
Thanks as always......
