Hi Dan:
Have you checked the aspirator motor to see if it needs a little
lubrication? It could have just slowed down a bit. The motor is located on
the inside of the rail that separates the passenger knee bolster from the
glove box on my 126 sedans having no passenger air bag. Just pull the glove
box insert and reach down and to the right to locate the plastic clip ring
that holds it in place. Electrical is a flimsy 2-wire connector that may
also need re-soldering. Plumbing is a simple rubber press-fit to the
aspirator tube. Anyway with the motor housing in hand you can disassemble
sufficiently to clean and lube as needed and then test with up to 12VDC.
