Ah I see. I remember Carl saying he has ones for a 380 that add 15hp so I guess that's what I'll do when my cats eventually go bad.

Depends on the state - California is anal enough that it's difficult to get a car WITH cats through the emissions testing. Nevada is a bit easier. Several states want to see a cat under there even though the engine passes their criteria. Putting a low restriction cat(s) under there is good for the environment and makes an insignificant difference in performance.

So without cats these cars won't pass an emissions test? I thought they burned clean enough that they could barely get by without cats.
