  Tracy,
Does the car feel like it wants to move when in forward gear and engine
reving? Do you have reverse?
I had a similar transmission failure in a previous 126 car. No warning,
no noise just no go.
The forward band, (B1 or B2) broke. This caused total lack of forward
movement. The car felt like it was trying to "catch" when in drive and
reving the engine. I remember reverse was a little better but not much.
The forward band is visible with the pan off and valve body/ filter out,
on a lift with lots of light.
The other cause could be a torn flex disk. These usually let you know
when they break. Lots of noise. I suppose there could be an exception.

Parked during the Atlanta ice on the weekend and drove sunday from about
5:45 pm Sunday to the gas station, filled with gas and drove about 15 miles

before slowing and stopping. Just at dusk.

of course I had no light or tools.
