Dan,
One neat thing about the BW FGS is that you can't get to first gear while
traveling too fast. The "B" switch or throttle kickdown switch momentary
contact MIGHT be able to engage first when traveling too fast (think third
gear to first!).

Later,
Mike
(happy with BW FGS)

If the BergWerks are no longer available, in the later models you can
get on-demand first gear starts by wiring a MOMENTARY CONTACT pushbutton
switch across the kickdown switch under the throttle pedal. Touch the
button after you have stopped, and you get first gear start for the next
start only.

Kind of nice, actually, because you don't have to remember to turn it
off on slippery roads; and can avoid chirping the tires when the officer
is looking.
