Wonder if thr impact of the wreck could have broken the flex plate or stressed it. If you can get a credible opinion as to the cause being the direct result of impact then the insurance company shoul pay for a new flex plate. Remember you have a 'Right to be made whole' by the insurer. Jim Alex

Just got my SEL back from the panel beaters after a guy ran a red light
looking all clean and pretty and the flex plate has cracked this past
weekend.
Anyone have a line on a reasonable priced unit? Here in NZ the dealer is
asking around $1300 US for a new one, second hand ones are impossible to
find.
