Maybe the new ones. With the old ones it's not very hard to disable the alarm.

My mechanic told me a Mercedes was the hardest car in the world to steal, at least without the alarm going off.

I just received a catalog from someone advertising
a part to easily remove the steering wheel. I believe
this would be the best way to avoid any thievery and
damage. Any idiot will immediately spot the missing
wheel and will leave the vehicle alone and pick an
easier target. Dick, if you are interested, let me know
and I'll look for the catalog, although I believe it was
    Summit Racing. Ciao.

Windows:
Just wondering if anyone has access to the diagrams and relay functions for the one-touch window set-up to gang all 4 windows?

Also, I am looking to understand the following relating to window operations:

How does the control 'sense' and therefore stop driving individual motors when a window is fully down or fully closed so as to not damage the lift mechanisms?

Has anyone rigged operation for the sunroof?

Has anyone rigged a sensor for interior cabin temp to trigger a partial open of windows on a sunny day where interior gets very hot?

Has anyone rigged a sensor to detect rain that would trigger windows up, etc assuming they are in some open state?

Door locks:
Does anyone know the correct wiring hook-up for operation of the central locking system?

Car disable:
What are the most common and 'useful' methods of disabling the car? And how easily are these defeated? I have no interest in horns or sirens.

Many thanks,

Dick
