I have used DHL a few times. Very satifactory from Europe but they have been bought by either Fed X or UPS. They might still operate under DHL and would be worth a try. Seems I've heard others say they know the 'Red Tape' game for shipping from Euro to USA. Jim Alexander

Thanks for the reference. I contacted UPS, but they were unable to do a
pick-up in Germany. FedEx are more established internationally than UPS, but
is generally considered to be more expensive.
I'm going to check with the purchasing department here at work to see if I
can get a deal through one of them.
I checked the UPS rates for shipping TO Germany from the US, just as a
reference, and was quoted about $200/wheel. Yikes!
