[W126 Coupe] V12 Wiring

Do all those electrical wires replace most of the vacuum stuff, or do
these new cars have all these wires in addition to all the vacuum stuff
of the older cars?

In case anyone is curious, there are roughly 880 wires between 10 engine
controllers and the chassis to wire up....
