Yup, I'm using NGK iridiums as well. I found them to be pretty good.
Anyone else have similar results?

I replaced my stock plugs with Iridium's in my SEL Question: why are you
against platinums.

I would use Benz antifreeze because it's cheap insurance against a costly
repair. Also, do not take out the plug below the radiator all the way, just
take it out enough to drain. Unless you have a helper to wiggle around the
radiator at the top, it's a real PITA to get back in once it's totally out.
Plugs require no special tools, just a spark plug socket (and a torque
wrench to torque down the replacements), but I think you'd be wise to get
one of the spark plug sockets with a rubber insert that holds onto the
sparkplug, otherwise you'll be contorting your hand in all sorts of ways. I
really like the ones with a pivot joint that came with the tool kit that
came with the car. Just to make sure, you're using stock plugs and not
platinums, right?

i'm getting ready to put in spark plugs on my 88 sec and also change the
anti freeze...is there any i should know or do to make this an easy
experience. any special tools for the plugs? can i just use prestone?
