[LargeFormat] C-Claron 190mm f4.5 - Paperweight?

Les,
I have a couple of 2x3 Century Graphics still which work quite well with
their roll-film backs and apparently can use the back from an RB67 SLR. The
bellows allow lenses from 47mm to 180mm. The lens panel is very small, which
is good for compact lenses but bad for large rear elements. The movements
are v restricted apart from rising front and only 9mm of that is available
with the 47mm S.Angulon due to the bellows binding. One of them has the
front standard turned round so backward tilt has become forward tilt,
possibly more useful. Cross front minimal unless you turn the camera to
portrait format when rising front becomes cross front. A monorail spoils
you and after using one you find the limitations of some technical cameras
irritating (including bag-bellows limitations).
The problem with a monorail is size/weight. A heavy camera needs a suitable
B&S head and sturdy tripod.
If I ever get my 6x9 Arca I hope it is more practical than a 5x4 'rail.
Philip
