Thank you very much for your posts. This is exactly the information I 
needed to sort out the fast slow (well it makes sense to me!) speeds 
on the compound shutter.

Now all that is needed is the time to do the work!

Looks as though the continuous rain we have been suffering is now 
heavy showers and hopefully Sunday will be a shooting day.
