How shrewd!  I have sometimes regretted bidding rather too much and been
relieved when some other idiot outbid me.  To be able to leave it to the
last minutes to decide my highest price is really handy, particularly if
another similar item has appeared subsequently and might go cheaper.
Eventually everybody will user sniper... Philip


Although I understand proxy bidding & will bid with the maximum price I
will happily pay to have an item I routinely use a sniping service
(www.auctionsniper.com) for the simple reason of 'bid retraction'.
