[LargeFormat] Applied Photographic Optics by Ray- Opinions?

don't have this book.  My historical data comes from Rudolph Kingslake in 
the form of two books "The History of the Photographic Lens"by Kingslake 
and "Handbook of Photography" by Heney and Dudley of which Kingslake (and 
other notables like Edgerton) have written chapters.  You could purches 
both of these books for under $150.
