Dear Clive,

Do not mention dancing girls. One of them commenced a series of
photographs last week in my studio designed to document her pregnancy - a
shoot a month until either she explodes or I do. We started with vast silver
drapes and glitter dust - all with the enthusiastic assistance of one of her
art-school mates. You can get a lot of glitter out of one jar and evantually
it ALL ended up on the floor and carpets of my studio. I have vacuumed and
swept and will undoubtedly be reduced to mopping and scrubbing. Eventually I
may be forced to blot the final specks up with bread slices coated in peanut
butter.

The second shoot was out of doors - me and what is increasingly
becoming the art director dressed in warm wool and sensible footwear and the
model not. This at least provided some revenge as we discovered which
paperbark tree had the ant's nest and which rock was the slipperiest. All
safe in the end, and looking forward to next month which is down at the
beach.

The Shen Hao sends it's regards. It is getting a new dark cloth in
velvet( ! ) and cotton for the lens shade.
Experiments still continue into film and development - fitted in around the
glitter girl. I even have one taken of me taking the glitter girl posing as
Danae with the shower of gold.

By the way, I found a good picture of George Hurrell doing his thing in
Hollywood using a Kodak Century Studio camera that seems to have a
remarkable resemblance in most working aspect to the Shen Hao.
