[LargeFormat] Plate Holders

Les,

I did ask earlier and no-one replied. "Is a 9x12 darkslide the same external
dimensions as 5x4?" Does a 5x4 darkslide fit a 9x12 camera back? Same
question really. I have seen a few 9x12 prewar bellows cameras going cheap
but assumed they were impractical. Similarly has anyone measured a
halfplate plateholder? Is it externally different to 5x7? I came across a
whole plate Kodak bellows camera in mahogany with no lens board. My 305mm
would easily cover 8.5x6.5 ins but there were no cutfilm or plate holders.
It weighed a lot less than my former 10x8 Sinar (later melted down and made
into an oil tanker ......) Philip
