Also, there is a very nice site of guy who did a lot of DIY
darkroom/photographic items (including a 8x10 enlarger), with quite
useful tips. It has also section on lightbox, he used the 5500 degree
K balanced fluorescent tubes that are sold in the better photographic
shops, but are of course pretty expensive. These tubes are used for
precisely that in big laboratories - lightboxes or overhead lighting
for inspecting colour prints.
