Firstly the 90mm f6.8 is presumably an Angulon, which permits only limited
movements on 5x4. Perhaps the best 90mm Schneider for your purpose is the
f5.6 Super Angulon but the 75mm gives a usefully wider view. I use an f5.6
65mm S Angulon but my camera's construction does not permit rising front
with this lens even though it is capable of it. There is plenty of test data
for LF lenses on the internet showing variously the test definition at
f11-22 and the shutter size/weight/ image circle/back focus. Some expensive
modern wideangle lenses have a back-focus longer than their focal length,
which means the front and rear standard are not so close together as they
would be with earlier lenses of the same focal length, which makes rising
front more attainable. .
Does your monorail permit rising front with such short lenses? Don't know
about the Fujinon. Can you hire it for a day or two to try it out before
buying it? Maybe if it worked but proved a bit limited you could use it for
a year or two and then buy something better. Makes sense to buy used
lenses.Philip
