Regarding foot stomping - white tail deer stomp in exactly the same way
as our Jacobs when alarmed, in addition to snorting.  We have had a few
Jacobs who would also snort when alarmed -- same whistling snort sound as
a deer.  

We have a few ewes who stomp a lot -- when they are jugged after lambing
and we enter they often stomp their displeasure at our intrusion - and I
have seen the very young lambs stomp also!!!   Very cute!!
