[AGL] death to child molesters?

Yes and yes, but not "society" as a whole. However society permits it
go on by not making the decision that "It shall not". But, I'm getting
ahead of myself.
Some of the following is what I believe based on studying Scripture
from my Holy Bible and other sources. The hard part for most folk is
what God has told me. I am so blessed to be in contact with the Holy
Spirit from time to time and other "miracles" that don't directly apply
in this case. I'm prepared for the attacks and name calling because
I've walked this road for a long time. You will value what you will.
I believe that God (or whatever name you choose) made us because He/She
needed love—that in some way He was lonely and because He had a need to
"see Himself" Why do I—because He made us in His own image and those
are generally our reasons. We'll save the "mistakes" for another day.
He placed us in a perfect place where all our needs were met (without
spilling a drop of blood). He gave us free will—otherwise how would we
be like Him and what would our love be worth if we didn't choose it?
Then came curiosity. Had things progressed in the way He wanted, we
would have been good, obedient students, matching knowledge with wisdom
and growing towards oneness with Him.
The Tree of Knowledge was not all about sex, it was about sex and
everything else. Seduced by instant gratification, we transgressed—not
waiting to learn wisdom as He intended to teach us. (We continue, to
this moment to use knowledge without wisdom.) Now we had the knowledge
of good and evil and could no longer live in perfection.
Does our Creator hurt—oh yes—like any other loving parent, He grieved.
But, we had made our choice. The grief was the knowledge of what a
dangerous world His children would now walk. Along the way He would try
to help us—still, it is our choice and choosing the right way does not
mean it will be easy. All sorts of evils exist in the natural world and
we have to choose well and try to overcome and manage them as best we
can.
There are prayer warriors and there are cops. There are those who value
what is holy and those who "lean unto their own understanding" rather
than seek the truth.
There is no way for me to fill in all without writing the whole book
and knowing the whole book is even harder. But, yes, we have chosen the
crooked path—not unlike Pandora's Box—its hard to get all those demons
back in the box. And yet we have the tools to do it and we search for
more and better ones all the time. We begin with a mindset, then learn
to accept the overcoming power we possess.
Right, none of us are perfect, but in so far as child molesters go,
that is far beyond imperfect. We know they seem to breed and that
suggests that the victim becomes the evil. There are researchers
working on a "cure," or a treatment. But until we know what to do, it
is our responsibility to protect the child first. The only way I know
of , to be sure, is to lock them up. One more child is not acceptable.
I question the death penalty, probably for the same reasons others do.
But in the case of a self-confessed, clever creature, who delights in
his actions and succeeds multiple times, I have no problem at all—even
to the knowledge that it may set him, or her, free from an evil we
cannot exorcise. One more child is not acceptable.
Jon; That's the best I can do with the time I have, for now. I'm glad
for every moment I have to build a friendship. I hope we are. I've got
tons to do, but it was an important question, See you all tomorrow. mm
