So Wayne, other than your usual opinion, I was curious to know what you thought of the scientific evidence I presented concerning the benefits of beta glucan.  I was hoping that you might take some interest in this as you have diabetes and may be a few other problems that might be helped by this.  If I had your condition I would be most interested in learning more, maybe even taking it out on a test drive.  All  the studies that have been done on the subject of beta glucan and diabetes show that it can be a marginal aid for type 2 diabetes.  All studies show that it reduces blood glucose and insulin.  I only searched the medical literature and all the articles I cited were done by qualified people in universities and medical centers.  So you can't say that these people are a bunch of quacks.  It will not cure your diabetes but will slow down some of the worst effects on the human body caused by having diabetes.  Then it also has some great side effects like improving your immune system and making you skin look better.  There are also other nutracieticles that have a role in sugar metabolism that can also help diabetics deal with their problem,  maybe I will write about them later.  Be aware that if you do start taking beta glucan you may have to adjust your other diabetes meds to compensate for the better metabolism of sugar.

I was just hoping that you would take a look at this with an open mind as I thought it might be good for you.

BTW - I'm not totally sure about this but I think Gerry is more in the nutritionist camp rather than homeopathy which is a whole different subject.  If you are looking for snake oil I might be able to get you some from China at a good discount.
