Byron, one of the bombers you mentioned (B17 and B29) was the 'Liberator' and the other was the 'Flying Fortress', correct? Then the B52 was around a long time. My roommate's father was a crewman for the fortress, I think, out of England late in the war. All of his crew survived. He still has the original maintenance manual.
