What? Which numbers are these? I don't keep up with the daily box score but
am under the impression that the Israelis have done and are doing a lot more
killing than the Palestinians--not that the Pals are letting the count rest.

Modern Israel is no longer the freedom fighting Sabras making the desert
bloom and setting an example with their industrious ideology. The majority
of voters are recently liberated Eastern Europeans who refuse to give an
inch, conservative Russians and the like. Cash in your Israeli war bonds,
Sidney, they have become what they got together to escape.

It's hard to call and I am certainly no pundit on the middle east but the
cancer of the conflict there has become the black mark on our image and our
future. It is a tragedy for all concerned.
