There was an interesting bit on the radio yesterday. It seems the American
road side is now littered with tattered, discarded American flags, dumped
from the antennas and rear panels of pickups. Now, the official Rules
concerning the disposal of an American flag are that it be treated
respectfully, ie. It should be burned.
I guess that will become the new litany for throwing burning objects out of
the window. "Geez, officer, I was just jettisoning mah flag."

Ya know, Roger,
The patriots who drive around with US flags plastered all over their cars
sure seem to be more aggressive behind the wheel than other drivers, and not
inclined to baaa.
Being 4th Generation French, I do feel a bit more masterful about my race
than before I read your posting. And thanks for the new word, new to me
anyway, "la malbouffe." When are we going to be able to see the "Asterix"
movie here in USA, or the cartoon strip? Maybe Dian knows.
