[Austin-ghetto-list] defense of yahoogroups

Well, Mike, once more we disagree on yahoogroups. My messages to others on
the list I manage get around much quicker than 45 minutes-- maybe this
morning was a peak traffic hour in Texas! An idiot could manage a list on
yahoogroups (if I can---), and I just taught my colleague Edy to set one up
for her young practice teachers in about three minutes flat (pretty good
latency period!) I defy a "normal" person like Jaxon or most of those on
this list to set up and manage a pair.com list-- this kind of PC/unix style
technology simply establishes a kind of hegemony for tech freaks like
yourself.

Jon
