Those who like Neal Cassady stories may want to look at "Looking for Bill"
in October's Texas Monthly. It's a brief account of Burroughs' 1946-48
stay in Texas, where he and Kells Elvins had a farm near Pharr and
a homestead near New Waverly. Cassady and Ginsberg and other familiar
characters make cameo appearances in an entertaining account of how
they spent the summer of 47. The Burroughs homestead also appears (I think
) in On The Road.

Jaxon may enjoy the anecdote about the possum-sized rats.
