Those who like Neal Cassady stories may want to look at "Looking for Bill"
in October's Texas Monthly.&nbsp; It's a brief account of Burroughs' 1946-48
stay in Texas, where he and Kells Elvins&nbsp; had a farm near Pharr and
a homestead near New Waverly.&nbsp; Cassady and Ginsberg and other familiar
characters&nbsp; make cameo appearances in an entertaining account of how
they spent the summer of 47. The Burroughs homestead also appears (I think
) in <u>On The Road.</u><u></u>
<p>Jaxon may enjoy the anecdote about the possum-sized rats.
