Dear Mr. Wonderful,

I am being sent away next week to the other side of the planet.

I will be gone for something between 6 months to a year. Some of my
friends are moving away while I'm gone, and some are even planning to
move while I'm gone or soon after my return. I'm lucky that most are
staying around - but one never can tell...

How can I be certain that when I return home, all the people I care
about won't be gone or have forgotten about me, or have gotten so used
to getting together without thinking about inviting me that when I get
back they'll forget to invite me back again? I know that they say
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder", but isn't that offset by the
saying "Out of sight, out of mind"?

Help me, if you can, take this worry off my heart!

Your humble fan,
Exiled to Siberia

Dear Ramblin' Guy,

My friend, I'd have to say it sounds like you have just about a week to
make sure you visit everyone you like and either give them a disease or
make them pregnant.

Trust the voice of experience - they'll be calling when you get back.

"Our task is to enlarge the cracks in the pseudo monolith
of social discourse, gradually uncovering bits of empty
spectacle, labeling subtle forms of mind-control, charting
escape routes, chipping away at crystallizations of image
suffocation, banging on pots and pans to wake a few citizens
from media trance, using the intimate media to orchestrate
our assaults on Big Media and its Big Lies, learning again
how to breathe together, how to live in our bodies, how to
	resist the image-heroin of "information.""
