Hey W.,

Why is the word "nematode" so cool?

Yours,

Dear Wormdo,

Obviously, "nematode" has got a nice sound to it. Nee-Ma-Toad. Lots
of good vowel movement there. Labial stretching. And whatnot.

Lip exercises, as reported by the Surgeon Wonderful, keep the mouth
happy. And a happy mouth is a friendly mouth. As long as you don't
think about the parasitic worms, you can wrap your lips around
"nematode" all day long. The word can be used in a jaunty marching
song, or that holiday classic "Good King Nematode"...

	Unfortunately, I'm not kidding. http://mgd.nacse.org/hyperSQL/squiggles/songs.html

But I probably think the *coolest* thing is that the word anagrams
neatly into "Tea Demon."

My only problem now is deciding whether a tea demon is late Beatnik
slang for someone who hoards all the LSD, or a Japanese gremlin that
spells out dirty words in the dregs.
