Dear Wonderful,
What do you think of brunch? Are you more of a mimosa or bloody mary person?
Signed,
The naked chef
_______________
Dear Elzar,
I'm more of a hung over person.
Listen: even if you could scrape me off the floor before noon, I still
wouldn't be able to find my pants in time to get to the hotel buffet.
Trust me. This is one of our more frequently conducted experiments. We
wrote it up as a paper for "Scientific Drunkard."
And we'll be having none of your "hair of the dog" morning cocktails,
thank you. It's a fine principle, but when you've spent the night being
savaged by a pack of wild dogs, all of different breeds and equipped
with lime-flavored kryptonite teeth, I can't be buggery bothered to
classify the fur left behind. They *all* bit me, officer, and they can
all fuck off and find me a replacement head.
Brunch is a silly word, no doubt invented by cutesy-pie yupholes. If
it's your first meal of the day (no matter what time it is, no matter
what the food is), it's breakfast. Break-fast. If it's the second
meal, it's lunch. Simple. Obvious. If you kiss your date while
manually investigating their curvy bits, it doesn't put you on "fecond
base," does it? No. So eat your bagel and be quiet.
Wake me when my stomach gets back from its sea voyage.

themselves, and many of them lead miserable
lives, realizing (at least on some level) that
they are nothing but fortunate freaks, the
intellectual version of runway models who just
happen to be born with the right cheekbones and
with breasts that fit the image of an age."
