Dear Wonderful,

I think that Mister Dark is so dark because he never had a decent
birthday party as a child. I volunteer to host such a party. All
Wonder-readers would be invited. Do you think Mr. Dark would graciously attend?

Signed,
M. Stewart
______________
Dear Party Hannibal,

All the Wonder-readers in the same room? I suspect that Mister Dark
would *viciously* attend.

With the aid of Letter-Man, of course.

We used to throw parties for Mister Dark all the time. Necktie
parties. Then we'd throw our arms into the air and scream as he rose
from the grave once again, the old musty smell pouring off him and those
pistols blazing in his hands, coming on relentlessly, shadowy ancient
death stalking us all under a weathered and broad-brimmed hat.

It helped pass the 19th century which, trust me, was otherwise yawnsville.

I, me, on my own, Mister Wonderful here, *I* would say go ahead with
this plan only if you *truly believe* that Mister Dark needs a happy
childhood like you need a hole in the head.
