Hey guys!
Mark Anthony Masterson here, stepping out from behind the curtain to
give you the latest in factual news concerning this mailing list.
The Wonderfullabs Mailing List is going on hiatus for the month of July
while I work on yet another novel. Yes, yes, I know. You're saying,
"But Mark, we didn't get to read the last one!"

Well, listen: it's brilliant, don't you worry. But I thought to
myself: "Self," I thought, "Is that all you got? Are these the zombie
laurels upon which you wish to rest until next November?" And the
answer came back: "Damn your eyes, July's too hot for writing." And I
said, "That's not an answer." And so I replied, "All right, ya got me.
Are you happy?" And my self replied, "Not until we tell all the stories
we promised we would before we were born."
So I'm writing a book thing. Again. Pray for us writers, now, and at
the hour of our submission.
Okay, but the fact remains that I won't be able to write Wonder *as
well as* the new book this month, and since I still haven't purchased
the part I need in order to resurrect my laptop and rescue all the
unarchived Wonderyears from its hard drive, that means this mailing list
is going to fall rather silent in July... BUT, here's my solution:
The Wonderful Laboratories Yahoo Group.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wonderfullabs/
It's an open forum, folks. Join us. It's anything you want it to be.
Discussion group, picture posting forum, chat lines, interactive
nubbins, quizzes, articles on water and glass, film reviews, meetings,
dates and indiscreet proposals, role playing and playing with rolls -
have all that you want, and want all that you have!
I'll be sending out occasional reminders for the new group, as well as
posting in other groups and plugging it on my journal sites. I suspect
the traffic will be light at first (and it *does* require you to have a
Yahoo ID), but it'll be a nice place to bring your other online friends
who perhaps need to dip a toe into the Wonderpool before going the Full
Wisdom. And then, O yes, won't you be having a ball.
Because here comes the real weepy and tragic like part of the story, o
my brothers and only friends... I've been answering questions in this
humorous persona for nigh unto six years now and I've never told you the
truth. The Truth Is: You guys are Wonderful Laboratories. I'm just a
catalyst. You are all the backbone and blood and thumping heart of this
grand experiment in Quantum Query and Ambrosial Answer. It's you who
are interested in the cosmorgasms that delight and the bizarro movies
that confuse and the daft nonsense and the surreal world and *you* are
the ones wearing the labcoats, and *you* are the ones who make it so
that Wonderful Laboratories is not bound to a single time or place, but
expands all over the globe and transforms all into a magic question mark
of love.
It's about time you learned who you really are.

Yours always, for we are all in it together,
MAM
