Dear Mister Wonderful,

	Is this true?

"As regards intellectual work, it remains a fact,
indeed, that great decisions in the realms of thought
and momentous discoveries and solutions of problems
are only possible to an individual working in solitude."

-Sigmund Freud, neurologist, founder of psychoanalysis (1856-1939)

Dear Watson & Crick,

My uncle from the old country, Octavius Flambe Wonderful, Esq., used to
have a saying: "Never trust a bearded German, especially if he's a
woman. Your aunt never understood that, and now she's being used as a
pendulum weight in Munich. Fetch me another mug of mescaline, boy, and
I'll tell you about how I spent the money I got for her."

Which is all by way of indicating that while a person may be wise and
given over to mighty thoughts, that same individual working in solitude
could just as easily be jerking off.

Mister Wonderful Recommends: Oedipussy Galore, which is a joke I tried
to work into this column earlier, but couldn't quite make fit. We also
like Fiction what blurs into Reality and back again. And back again.
Also, Beck.
