I believe there were only a handful (literally 5 or less) of 500E/E500's

imported to the UK because Mercedes never made them with right-hand
drive.
Since Porsche was actually building the cars, they were only produced
in small quantities and I suspect there wasn't enough of a demand to
have
Porsche deal with both left and right hand drive.
