[W124] Troubleshooting cruise-control

Besides Frank's excellent advise, I would suggest that you make sure
that all of your accelerator linkage joints and sliders are free from
dirt/grim and freshly lubed with ATF (shown in maintenance job 3022,
and service job 30-0010).
The cruise control is covered under section 30-5XX, with
troubleshooting in 30-502 and wiring diagrams in 30-580.
