[W124] Tyres on 17"

Hi Greg,

Have a look at www.gdtm.ru/TiresAWCS124.htm for a list of origonal
Mercedes wheels and sizes for the W124 range. Some of the more extreme sizes
would require some modification of the wheel arches but your MB dealer
should be able to advise. MB part numbers and prices in Euros are also
given.

Re. your wiring harness. I recently replaced mine on my 1994 E320 Cab but
the harness itself cost me approximately $800 (600 Euros) here in Ireland.
Fitted it myself without any great problems - took me a few hours but I
imagine an experienced mechanic would do it in half the time. I just wonder
did they also replace your throttle body which can also suffer from the
wiring problem.
Apparently it is possible to rewire these as there is only one connecter
involved so it is something I am considering attempting over the winter
months.
Also have a look at www.mercedesshop.com/Wikka/M104WireHarness

Jay, if you read this, have a look at this website also to learn about the
wiring harness issue.

Regards to all,
Declan.
