The temperature sensor could cause this, so it's worth checking the
resistance hot and cold....

Gentlemen,
I have a 1995 E320 cab that had a cracked coil. When it
rained it wouldn't idle and ran very rich. It was hidden
from the top but we fianlly found it when we removed all
ofhtem to check them. Anyway, I replaced the coils, the
spark plugs and wires and now my car runs very very rich.
You can smell raw gas when you start it and let it idle.
Could the Oxygen sensor go bad and cause the fuel computer
to pump more gas than I need in the system? Any thing else
easy that I could check to see if that is what the issue is
beofre I take it to a professional? I don't have a code
reader.
