Bennie,
If it's anything like the Coupe, it's a simple "undo 4 bolts" affair.
The bolts are accessible from inside the boot, after pulling out the carpet
and trim. There's a couple of plastic fittings that either need twisting
through 90 degrees, or pulling-out the centre pin with pliers.....can't
remember which, but it will be obvious.
It's worth fixing any rust revealed under the bumper while it's off.....it
won't go away on it's own.....
Probably one of the simplest jobs you'll ever get on a Mercedes (after
dusting the steering wheel).

Subject: [Mercedes] W124 Bumper removal
Is there anyone who can tell me how to remove the rear bumper on a W124? It
seems to me that there are 2 brackets on each side, (a sliding bracket) but
I cannot determine how to remove the bumper cover. It is looking for a new
paint layer but I want to remove the whole thing and dismantle it before it
is painted.
Thanks
