The previous owner of my 89 300CE had replaced the whole climate control
pushbutton control unit, but I'm sure they got a factory part. Your 94 may
be different.

The lights went out in that replacement unit, but I was able to fix it.
Replacement bulbs were available at the dealer, and it only used two of
them. There was one toward the left side and one toward the right, using
light pipes to illuminate all the buttons and dial.

The bulbs were behind small squares of metallic tape, and they simply pushed
in to their sockets. Removing the old ones was tricky, but I finally got
them by putting a drop of superglue on the end of a stick, holding that to
the bulb for a moment, then pulling out. Installation was easier.
