[W124] Wiring harness

I own a 92 320CE which has just done 126k miles it also has suffered with a problematic engine wiring loom. 
 
Very expensive over here the loom is about £1200 plus fitting.............ooochh.

AFAIK the M104 was in use in the coupes starting at least in the 1990 model
year, I think they didn't switch the W124 sedans over to the M104 till 93, and
that's when they started using the new wiring harness on all M104 family
engines. Maybe even 94.

If you have an M103, then you're probably safe from this issue. You only have
the oil appetites to deal with, like the M103 on my 89 300CE. I don't hold it
against her, though. I like my beer, she likes her oil. Fair enough as long as
neither of us drools. ;-)
