[W124] 1990 CE

Do I read this correct?  40000 mile car and  rear window  motor had to 
be replaced?
Does not say much  for  MB
I have two 1960 Caddy's and one  1959 and the power window motors have 
never been changed.  Samme for the a/c
A power window motor for my  1978 Mercury Colony Parl wagon is $119.
Tune ups for ay of the cars  in parts is $ $20
Makes me wonder about MB "quality?"
Expensive does not equal  durability or quality
