Steve,

I can't help you in your quest for rack attachments, I can't even find the
basics for my CE. That said have you thought about making something
suitable. I'm thinking a walnut burl stake bed platform with gold
anodized trim to match you black beauty. Or how about a Lorinser body
kit fashioned into a travel trunk, you will be the the only Mercedes with
xenon clearance lights!

Tongue firmly in cheek,
Steve Lemberg

Sending again as I didn't see it the first time...

Does anyone know of a source for fittings and accessories for the ORIS
roof rack that fits the 124 coupe?

I have the basic rack, but I'm looking for fittings, such as 'eye'-bolts,
that will allow the strapping on of items. There are other ORIS racks that
are made for a variety of MB models (and BMW, Audi, VW, too, I think).

I believe they all use the same fitting system, so a ski rack, or bike
rack, or luggage carrier, etc, will fit any of the models' basic carriers.

But I have been unable to find a source for the fittings or accessories.
The ORIS web site <http://www.oris-gmbh.de/english/index.html> directs you
to see their Daimler-Chrysler dealer, but my dealer says he has no
information.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Regards,
