Hi Olli,

Yes, you got the idea! I am not sure about the precise position and timing
but basically DR cooks it if you aim for the position after Bf8.

These are the 2 endemic dangers when composing repetition draws:

1. Premature repetitions preceding the desired draw
2. Dead reckoning
DR can usually be detected by looking at the move folowing the diagram. If
it is an "only move" there is a definite risk of DR. Premature repetition
can generally be found by looking at the move preceding the diagram. If
that move is the same in all occurences of the diagram, we have a "premrep".

Note: I knew this before I published the problem and discussed it with
Peter vd Heuvel. He thought very few retro-solvers were aware of DR at the
time and considered the issue "ignorable". I could have added "-DR" to the
diagram otherwise to indicate that DR should not apply. I also avoided
discussing DR in relation to the "repetitions and castlings" but it is
clear there are strange interactions with it as well. DR may be looked at
as another "admin rule" with all consequences for that group. I am not sure
how Andrew looks at "DR by unavoidable repetition". May be interesting to
get his view.

Well done and best wishes, Guus Rol.
