This works for n = 0:
1. e4 d5 2. Qg4 dxe4 3. Ke2 Qd3+ 4. Ke1 Qxc2 5. Qxc8#

but it fails for n = 1 (5 solutions):
1. e4 d5 2. Ba6 dxe4 3. Kf1 Qd3+ 4. Qe2 Qxc2 5. Qg4 Qd3+ 6. Ke1 Qc2 7. Qxc8#
1. e4 d5 2. Ba6 dxe4 3. Kf1 Qd3+ 4. Qe2 Qxc2 5. Qg4 Qd3+ 6. Ne2 Qc2 7. Qxc8#
1. e4 d5 2. Bc4 dxe4 3. Kf1 Qd3+ 4. Qe2 Qxc2 5. Qg4 Qd3+ 6. Ke1 Qc2 7. Qxc8#
1. e4 d5 2. Bc4 dxe4 3. Kf1 Qd3+ 4. Qe2 Qxc2 5. Qg4 Qd3+ 6. Ne2 Qc2 7. Qxc8#
1. e4 d5 2. Qg4 dxe4 3. Ke2 Qd3+ 4. Ke1 Qxc2 5. Ke2 Qd3+ 6. Ke1 Qc2 7. Qxc8#
