Hello,

"without any invader to the 1st rank"
the tempo-motivated manoeuver by Gianni is a classic, also an extreme in
motivation.
there exists an intermediate between "invading" and this extreme : that is
"escaping".
that allows to produce captureless examples shorter than Noam's ones :

1n2k1nr/2pp1pbp/1p2p3/p5p1/3Qr1B1/4qPPb/PPPPP2P/RNB1K1NR
SPG 13.0 (16+16) C+

(solution : 1.g3 a5 2.Bh3 Ra6 3.Bg4 Re6 4.Nh3 b6 5.0-0 Bb7 6.Qe1 Bg2 7.f3
Re4 8.Qf2 e6 9.Qd4 Qg5 10.Kf2 Qe3+ 11.Ke1 g5 12.Rh1 Bg7 13.Ng1 Bh3)
escaping Queen; captureless
so (13,0) [11,5,0] (the 1,5 last moves are added to make "invisible"
castling more "invisible")

Best,
Michel
