Hello from Yefim.
I am correcting my answers:
(1) What is the longest possible chess game, if both sides only
move their knights and the 50-move-rule applies?
My answer was 99*27=2673 half-moves. Wrong.
My correct answer is 99*24=2376 half-moves (almost 100% sure).
(2) What is the longest possible chess game, if both sides only
make pawn moves?
My answer was 96 half-moves. Wrong.
My correct answer is 84 half-moves (75% sure:).
Corrections to FEN Notation with 4 White Bishops:
